Community Coordinator
 
The ideal candidate loves blogging, micro-blogging, and community participation leadership. This person is knowledgeable about social media and is able to engage community members in online interactions. Must pay great attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and priorities, take initiative, and work well both independently and in a group setting. The Community Coordinator will assist in the daily management of all communities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Community Environments
    • Ensure website content is current and members are energized
    • Participate in conversations that surround the content - answer comments; be a mediator
    • Recommend and help implement suggested upgrades to the panelist experience
    • Moderate community discussions and studies
    • Generate reports when necessary
    • Respond to participant emails sent to panel email accounts
    • Post interactive content that encourages participation and the development of user-generated content to ensure that the community is achieving its objectives
    • Participate in community postings, as yourself and avatars, to generate discussion and engage members
    • Support member recruitment and retention efforts, and community refreshment processes
    • Report on successes and lessons learned from community
    • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content
    • Manage technical community administration tasks such as workspace setup, permissions, incentive administration, and content publishing.
  • Oversee incentive administration
  • Update company social networking accounts
  • Update company website to ensure content is current
    • Integrate features that sync with Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other social networking websites onto company site
Job Requirements:

  • BA or BS and 1-2 years relevant market research experience
  • Expertise publishing or participating on social media tools; has experience interacting in online community tools such as blogs, social news, video/photo sharing, social networking applications, widgets/gadgets, viral marketing campaigns, user-generated content and podcasts
  • Superb business writing, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent and proven project management and time management skills, ability to set priorities and manage expectations
  • Strong analytic skills and instincts, with excellent attention to detail
  • Works effectively individually or in teams
  • Takes initiative, is self motivated
  • Tech savvy
